Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.” (1 John 5:2)
Jesus answered, “The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:29-31)
“But if any man love God, the same is known of him.” (1 Corinthians 8:3)
“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. “My Love” There is only one, the lover of our souls. Our confidence in His love, assures us we are free from judgment. Our love for Him insures our obedience with confidence. We now do freely that which we have been empowered to do through Your affection. Your devotion has saved us from what we could never do on our own. It is no longer a dreadful act of trying to be good enough to be with You, our God. Now we obey to be like the One who loves us completely. Submission has become the highest expression of our passion. It is the very mountaintop of our ecstasy. To truly be like You, in every thought and action is our obedience. We are now never alone as we do all things with You, our Father. Step for step, heartbeat for heartbeat, we breathe our breath as one. The unison of movement provokes this dance of intimacy. We submit to Your advances and regard Your tender caresses. Closer than two lovers as one flesh, we have become one spirit! Submissively dominated by Your Love…
